School Council

Here is our school council mission statement.

Our school council respects everyone's opinions and shows that we are a loving and caring school family.

This was written by the members of the School Council in September 2014.

School Council 2015 - 2016

Our school council met on October 16th to discuss ideas for a KS2 PE kit.

Hands up surveys asking for children's choices were given to each class to complete. The results of the survey will be given to Miss Ridyard and a PE kit will be agreed.

Anti- Bullying winning logo.

The School Council met with the Peer Supporters on Friday December 4th to choose the winning anti-bullying logo design from the KS2 entries.

The winner was Laila from year 4 who produced an eye catching design.

In second place was Lily from year 4 who delivered an important message.

Both designs will be displayed around school in the new year. Well done girls.

During the Spring term the School Council wrote a child friendly definition of bullying. This was looked at by the Peer Supporters who developed it a little further.

In the Summer term the School Council wrote a Child Friendly Safeguarding policy.

School Council 2016 - 2017

Another busy year ahead for the new School Council.

On September 29th the School Council met to discuss ideas for resources that could be put into calm boxes in each class.

The School Council will be choosing a winner for the healthy lunchbox competition very soon.

Some children in KS2 have put requests in the School Council suggestion boxes asking if they could find out what the choices for lunch are before they get into the hall. So as a response to this the School Council will be designing a board to display the lunchtime menu so that children will be able to see the daily food choices before they enter the hall at lunch.

Healthy lunch box competition.

The school council were very busy choosing the winners of the healthy lunch box competition.

The winners were

EYFS - Lewis Nelson

KS1 - Deacon Yates

Lower KS2 - Tegan Greaves

Upper KS2 - Lily Thomson

WELL DONE EVERYONE.

The School Council met on Friday March 3rd to design new logos for the worry boxes in each class.
