Safeguarding

The Safeguarding of our pupils is of the highest priority.

Mrs Evelyn Clayton and Mrs Julieann Jessop are the Designated Safeguarding Leads.

St Joseph the Worker RC Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Our designated teacher for Looked After Children and previously looked after children is: Mrs Evelyn Clayton

Staff, pupils and parents can discuss, share and raise concerns which are treated with confidentiality and sensitivity.

Mrs Clayton and Mrs Jessop are trained in following LA guidelines and procedures to ensure that we keep all children safe in education.

At St Joseph the Worker RC Catholic Primary School we take all matters related to Safeguarding and Child Protection very seriously.  We have robust and regularly reviewed policies and practices in place to keep our children safe.

The NSPCC helpline is staffed by trained professionals who can provide expert advice and support. They are there if you’re concerned about a child, if you’re a parent or carer looking for advice, or if you’re a professional in need of information and guidance. 

Whatever your worry – call the NSPCC on 0808 800 5000, or via email or through their website they can help. They also have advice about spotting the signs of abuse. You can call Monday to Friday 8am – 10pm or 9am – 6pm at the weekends, or email at any time. It’s free and you don’t have to say who you are.
