Chinese New Year

Lesson: Understanding the World

Class: Nursery Year: 2019 - 2020

Chinese New Year

We have been preparing to celebrate the Chinese New Year. We have made money wallets and enjoyed the chocolate coin that was inside. We watched a video to show how it is celebrated. This year it is the Year of the Rat.

We have made a dragons head and performed dragon dancing.

We looked at the story and re enacted it with the animal masks. We thought we could make a bridge for the animals to cross the river using the 3d shapes.

Then we tasted noodles and prawn crackers.
