BFG Dream Jars

Lesson: Religious education

Class: Year 3 Year: 2016 - 2017

We've had a really exciting day today in Year 3 making dream jars inspired by our current class novel, The BFG.

Firstly, we had to think really hard about what our dream for the future was. We thought this was especially important as many of us celebrated making our First Holy Communion yesterday and we felt renewed and ready to plan the next stage of our journey.

With dreams written and jars labelled we filled our jars and decided on a colour before mixing them and preparing them for the outside world.

Finally, just as The BFG does, we needed to get rid of the little parts of our dreams we no longer needed. So we went outside and watched as our bubbles floated away, taking a moments reflection and prayer to hope they attached themselves to someone else who might need them. We hope they find some other children getting ready for their First Holy Communion, this year or in the years to come.
