The Pop Project - British Values

Date: 1st Oct 2018 @ 1:16pm

On Thursday 27th September we enjoyed a fabulous morning with The Pop Project

http://www.popproject.co.uk/page1.php

They are a local based group whom are teachers and come into schools to promote a love of a range of topics through music. Our focus was "British Values"

Our morning was made up of Key Stage 2 then Key Stage 1 and Early Years. Everyone came out singing, dancing, smiling and full of awareness and knowledge. The morning included learning about England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales and traditional dress - which some of our pupils loved!

There was traditional music and children enjoyed playing different music instruments including harps, tin whistles and accordians.

Each class learnt important messages about democracy, rule of law, mutual respect, individual liberty and tolerance of others' beliefs and religions.

Some fantastic pieces of work were produced afterwards too.

Check out the photos to see what a brilliant time we all had!
