Update

24th May 2016

Another balloon has landed!

Max & Zach's balloon has been found in a field by a gentleman called Nigel. He emailed us to say he had found the balloon whilst walking with his dogs at the weekend.

It was found 84 miles away in Nottinghamshire

You can see the link below to where it was found

We are hoping that lots more of our balloons are found soon so we can find out whose travelled the furthest!

Updates - 18th May

Two more balloons have been found in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire! One travelled 152 miles and the other 167 miles! Both were found in fields and the finders wrote letters to us to tell us that they have found them.

We have been looking on google maps to see where they were found and how far they travelled. We have also made predictions about where we think the next ones might be found!

Update - 4th May

We have had an email from a gentleman in the Peak District to say he found Henley & Nathan's balloon in his lane near his farm. https://www.google.com/maps/place/53%C2%B016'49.0%22N+1%C2%B032'32.1%22W/@53.3049056,-2.3744554,9z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x0!8m2!3d53.28028!4d-1.542241?hl=en

This is where it was found! The balloon travelled 53 miles!!

For our Geography and History work we are learning about different methods of travel. We decided to launch 20 helium balloons into the sky - tied with a message and our address on to see how far they could fly. Our experiment was "How far will this balloon travel?"

Hopefully people will email or write to us if they find our balloons as we would love to find out where they have landed.

We tied a ribbon to a balloon with a label on it. We all cheered and said goodbye and a helicoptor flew past us and followed the balloons. We all looked at everyone's balloon set off and we all were laughing and felt excited. Then we all set of our balloons then we were all happy then. By Jessica & McKenzie

When we set our balloons off, we all felt really happy and excited. The balloons looked really funny in the sky when they flew away and it was very exciting to see them in the sky floating away. We cheered on all the balloons because we didn't want them to get trapped in the trees. Luckily, all of the balloons were safe and flew away into the air. Some even went higher than the helicopter that we saw.
