Healthy Eating and Choices in Year 2

Date: 16th Oct 2017 @ 3:58pm

We have been learning about making healthy choices and the eatwell plate looking at different food groups over the last half term.

We have designed our own food plates and talked about changes that we can make to improve our own diets.

Then we have looked at keeping our teeth healthy and the impact that sugary foods have on our teeth.

We have had a visitor from the Health Improvement Team - Debbie came to see us and we talked about healthy and unhealthy choices and we even ate some strawberries!

Everyone got a new toothbrush and toothpaste to take home to put the learning into practise!

It was a great afternoon learning about food choices and we made a class chart with strawberries being the most popular fruit and peppers being the most popular vegetable in class.
