Community Spirit Afternoon

Date: 27th Sep 2016 @ 3:47pm

Year 2 - Community Spirit

On Tuesday 27th September we have had a fantastic afternoon learning about Community Spirit and giving back to our school community.

Some children helped out Mr Shields with his afternoon jobs around school, others made thank you cards for the staff who help our school to be such a fantastic place to be. Miss Barnes toook a group of pupils out to do some litter picking around the school, helping to keep it clean and tidy. Some children went down to Nursery to help teach the little ones how to play and read them stories whilst a group stayed in class with Mrs Dunn and made rice crispy cakes and juice to sell after school on the playground. £11 was raised with just crispy cakes and juice! The money raised will be given to our school chaplains to buy something nice for our school altar in the hall – all about giving back to our school community.

Have a look at our brilliant photos to see what exciting things we have been up to!

“Together as God’s children we will, love, learn, grow, inspire, Let your light shine”.

  • To work together with families as the first educators of their children.
  • To create a happy Roman Catholic atmosphere in which everyone can develop spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, morally and physically.
  • To provide a safe, caring, stimulating environment in which everyone is encouraged to develop his or her full potential.
  • To promote self-discipline in an atmosphere which fosters respect, tolerance and acceptance of all people.
  • This school is committed to encouraging the children to develop into responsible members of the school community in preparation for their role as adult members of society. In helping us to achieve this goal we anticipate the co-operation of all our parents.
  • To support all members of the community in their faith journey.
