Year 2 Visit to the Museum of Science and Industry

Date: 12th Mar 2017 @ 6:38am

Year 2 have visited the Museum of Science and Industry as part of our work on the history of transport. We have made links to Science, History and English through our work and the children enjoyed learning about different kinds of transport and even enjoyed a workshop finding out about the difference between the safety bicycle and the Penny Farthing!

We are following on from our trip by doing lots of writing, comparing between old and new transport and fact finding about the transport we saw.

Have a look at our photos to see all the exciting things we did.

Everyone had a great day and a huge thank you to our parent helpers who helped to make the trip possible.

“Together as God’s children we will, love, learn, grow, inspire, Let your light shine”.

  • To work together with families as the first educators of their children.
  • To create a happy Roman Catholic atmosphere in which everyone can develop spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, morally and physically.
  • To provide a safe, caring, stimulating environment in which everyone is encouraged to develop his or her full potential.
  • To promote self-discipline in an atmosphere which fosters respect, tolerance and acceptance of all people.
  • This school is committed to encouraging the children to develop into responsible members of the school community in preparation for their role as adult members of society. In helping us to achieve this goal we anticipate the co-operation of all our parents.
  • To support all members of the community in their faith journey.
