Year 2 - Pentecost Drama

Date: 1st May 2018 @ 3:51pm

In Year 2 we have been learning about Jesus' ressurection and the Pentecost. We have worked as a class to act out the story through role play and drama.

Using scripture taken from Act:1 - 2 we have acted out how the disciples felt sad, lost, heartbroken and alone until a powerful gust of wind came to them with a flame sent as a mesage from Jesus, just as he had promised. The flames swirled above the disciples heads and eventually settled empowering them with joy, peace, calm and the skill to speak different languages. This meant that the disciples could go forth and spread the good news about Jesus and share how God loves us all and sent his son to us.

As a class, we discussed that the disciples did this so that we can be hear now 2000 years later hearing the amazing stories of Jesus and without the Holy Spirit being sent from Jesus to them, they would never have been able to do this.

Please have a look at the beautiful photos of our drama that we took showing our learning, enjoyment and understanding of this special time.
